It was a personal record breaking hike. So far this was my longest day hike, 18.5 hours. Gunung Semangkok is a mountain popular for training long trail. Some also make it a 2 days 1 night hike by camping at Sungai Merah camp site. We did ours by compressing 2 days to a day hike. Hence we started our hike very early in the morning 2am. Thanks to The HikeMates and One Gut hiking group for organising this memorable hike for me. It was indeed a physical and mental challenge trail. You will need permit and guide for this hike.
