Many states of North India are in the grip of cold. There is snowfall in the mountains. After the recent rains, now cold wave is going on in many parts of North India. Cold wave continues in Delhi, NCR, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal, Uttarakhand and Punjab and its surrounding areas. A drop in temperature has also been recorded. The Meteorological Department said that on New Year i.e. January 1, there will be dense fog in the morning and evening. Cold wave will prevail during the day. These conditions will result in reduced visibility and day temperatures. Due to this, there will be severe cold in the new year. The cold is going to increase even more in Delhi.

उत्तर भारत के कई राज्य ठंड की चपेट में हैं. पहाड़ों में बर्फबारी का दौर चल रहा है. पिछले दिनों हुई बारिश के बाद अब उत्तर भारत के कई हिस्सों में शीतलहर (Cold Wave) चल रही है. दिल्ली, एनसीआर, हरियाणा, पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश, हिमाचल, उत्तराखंड और पंजाब और इसके आसपास के क्षेत्रों में शीतलहर का प्रकोप जारी है। तापमान में भी गिरावट दर्ज की गई है. मौसम विभाग ने बताया कि नए साल यानी 1 जनवरी को सुबह और शाम के समय घना कोहरा रहेगा। दिन के समय शीतलहर चलेगी. इन स्थितियों के कारण दृश्यता और दिन के तापमान में कमी आएगी। इसके चलते नए साल में कड़ाके की ठंड पड़ेगी। दिल्ली में और भी ज्यादा ठिठुरन बढ़ने वाली है.
