If your Mustang suffers from a sporadic, blinking Theft light that prevents the car from starting, this video may help.
The PATS transceiver is a small plastic module that mounts below and around the lock cylinder housing. Its sole purpose is to read the key (transponder) code and send it down to the PCM for authentication. Its only about $30 and very well may be the reason the PATS system won't start your car.
