In this commentary, I talk about why modern gaming feels so different and honestly… kinda boring at times. From repetitive releases, lack of creativity, and unfinished games, to microtransactions, battle passes, and everything feeling like it’s built around making money instead of being fun.

It feels like after 2016 or 2018, something shifted. Games started playing it safe, everyone follows the same meta, and even casual gaming feels way more competitive than it used to be. I also get into how skill-based matchmaking, copy-paste mechanics, and constant updates have changed the overall experience.

I’m not saying every new game is bad, there’s still some great ones out there but it feels like that genuine excitement and simplicity we used to have is harder to find now. Gaming used to feel more social, more creative, and more memorable.

I also talk about my own experience with gaming, how I’ve been losing interest, and why it’s been harder to stay engaged compared to how it used to be.
