DIY Tender Collar ♻️ THIS UPCYCLING PROJECT SAVED US THOUSANDS ♻️ | Sailing with the James's (Ep.97)

Описание: Welcome back to the boatyard, this week we are finishing off the floor adn the pods on the tender for the tender and installing our DIY Upcycled Tender Collar.

The tender collar is made out of recycled EVA foam floor mats, Kwick grip, silka flex glue, and ‘no more nails’. We got quoted $2K for a tender collar and when receiving the quote we put our thinking caps to come up with an alternative. Gym floor mats are made out of the same EVA foam and we put the word out in local facebook groups and found a heap of matts that were going to be thrown into the land fill - perfect for us. The collar is glued on with kwick grip, some silka glue and some “no more nails”. We hope to inspire other cruisers looking for a solution for stability for their tinny.
