On the eve of the recent caucuses in the US state of Iowa, Florida Senator Marco Rubio endorsed Donald Trump for president. It was a blow for Republican presidential hopefuls Nikki Haley – who had endorsed Rubio over Trump in 2016 – and Florida Governor Ron Desantis.
