The sudden change the mist can take in the morning. It appears out of nothing after a long and cold night. When the day starts arising on the horizon, there it is. Covering the fields around in a misty haze. Reflecting the colors of the arising sun. As if it was there the whole time but you're unable to see it with your eyes closed deeply while sleeping.

My girlfriend used to go to school not far away from here. Some years have already passed. No idea why she went there. Her hometown is pretty far away but still. Like a choice out of nowhere. I wonder if she would have seen me back then... long hair, torn up jeans, with a cigarette in my hand... time has changed me a lot I guess...

I often drove my car down the road. Unable to know who she is... it took me to wake up at one point to see the misty fog reflecting the light of the sun at the horizon, as if my real life was just to begin. It was hard for me see the colors in the mist as it took her so long to find out I even existed... but I witnessed her already back then... I've made my decision to wait these years and hope...

Strange to walk these roads now hearing her steps 20 meters behind me to not disturb the sound of the recording. That's how a day starts. Long darkness comes to an end, the fog is appearing and then you see the light at the horizon. You never know when the fog disappears but as long as you keep going... you will reach your destination... perfect move for just a walker...
