August 7th, 1985. Five people were found dead at White House Farm in Essex, England. Nevill Bamber, June Bamber, Sheila Caffell, and her two 6-year-old twin sons, Nicholas and Daniel. Initially, it looked like a murder-suicide—Sheila, who suffered from schizophrenia, appeared to have killed her family before turning the gun on herself. But the evidence told a different story.
Jeremy Bamber, the 24-year-old adopted son of Nevill and June, murdered his entire family for a £436,000 inheritance. He staged the scene to frame his mentally ill sister, Sheila. But a single piece of evidence—a blood-stained silencer found in a cupboard—destroyed his story. Jeremy was arrested, tried, and sentenced to life in prison with a whole-life tariff. He has been behind bars for 39 years and will never be released.
This is the full story of the White House Farm murders—one of the most infamous family massacres in British history.
