There is a very close connection between cricket and Ramadan. Whenever a cricket tournament is held in Ramadan, either Pakistan won or performed exceptionally well. For example, Cricket World cup 1992, Champions Trophy 2017, T20 World Cup 2009, and Cricket World cup 2019. On a lighter note, in 1992, BBC News enquirers about RAMADAN because every Pakistani gives credit for their wins to Ramadan.
