Celebrate the festive season with this indulgent and rich Shahi Tukda made using NESTLÉ MILKMAID.
Preparation time: 5 min
Cooking Time: 5 min
Serves: 12
Ingredients:
NESTLÉ MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk: 1 tin (380 g)
Ghee: For frying
Paneer: 200 g
Elaichi Powder: ½ tsp
Bread: 12 slices
Water: 500 ml
Sugar: 250 g
Saffron: 10–12 strands (crushed)
Almonds: 4 tbsp, toasted & chopped
Pistachios: 4 tbsp, toasted & chopped
Method:
1. Cut the sides of the bread slices and fry them in Ghee until golden brown.
For Rabdi:
2. Mix together NESTLÉ MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk, grated paneer and ¼ tsp elaichi powder. Cook for 3-4 minutes while stirring continuously. Turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
For Sugar Syrup:
3. In a pan, mix water, sugar, saffron and ¼ tsp elaichi powder. Bring to a boil and cook until the sugar dissolves completely.
4. Soak the fried bread slices in the sugar syrup for 5 minutes. Remove and place in a serving dish.
Assemble:
5. Layer the prepared rabdi over the soaked bread slices. Garnish with toasted chopped almonds and toasted chopped pistachios. Serve warm.
