A motor that runs purely on magnetic force — no electricity required

A motor powered by magnetic fields is just a standard electric motor where magnetic forces create rotation. Electric current flows through a wire coil and turns it into an electromagnet. A permanent magnet nearby provides a second magnetic field, and where these fields overlap, opposite poles attract and like poles repel, producing sideways force on the coil.
The motor is designed so that as it turns, the current direction flips at the right moment, keeping the torque in the same rotational direction instead of rocking back and forth. In classroom demos, a wire loop spins above a small neodymium magnet, and the insulation is scraped off only half of each axle end so current flows only during part of each revolution. That pulsed current keeps it spinning in one direction instead of stopping at the attraction point.
Some viral videos suggest motors powered only by magnets with no electrical input, but that is misleading. Permanent magnets store energy in their field, but they do not provide a continuous energy source on their own. To get continuous rotation with useful torque, you must supply electrical energy or mechanically reconfigure magnets, which costs at least as much energy as you get out over a cycle. Any demonstration that appears to spin indefinitely either has hidden power input or is just coasting with low friction and will eventually stop.
