Описание: Trying out the J. Herbin rollerball pen & doing some tropical-inspired paintings with my Prima Marketing tropicals watercolour set.

You may have seen me using the J. Herbin fountain pen in one of my previous videos:    • Croquis café life drawing using new J. Her...   This week, the rollerball came back into stock at Cult Pens where I order a lot of my art supplies so I grabbed it.

I filled it with Pelikan black drawing ink using a piston cartridge and was impressed with the immediate ink flow and medium-thick, smooth lines it creates. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it sounds a little squeaky/scratchy as you draw, but I guess that just comes with the territory sometimes with a rollerball.

I also recently got the Prima Marketing watercolour set in Tropicals (from America) and wanted to try it, so I used "tropical" as my inspiration to draw some tropical plants and birds.

I wasn't hugely pleased with the result of the paintings, but I was hugely impressed with both the rollerball and the paints!
