The 1938 Buick Special, designated as the Series 40, served as Buick’s entry-level full-size model, originally launched in 1936 to provide affordable access to the brand’s reputation for quality and innovation during the Great Depression’s aftermath. It was equipped with a 248 cubic inch straight-eight valve-in-head engine that produced 107 horsepower at 3,400 RPM and 203 foot-pounds of torque, mated to a three-speed manual transmission, enabling reliable performance for everyday driving. The car’s styling evolved in 1938 with a transitional art deco influence, including a redesigned full-width grille, streamlined fenders, and luxurious interior touches like optional overdrive and upscale trim, all on a 122-inch wheelbase that accommodated comfortable seating for up to six passengers. Known for its smooth ride and durability, the Special appealed to budget-conscious buyers seeking a blend of elegance and practicality in an era of automotive advancement.

The 1962 Triumph Herald 1200 convertible was an updated variant of the small family car from Standard-Triumph (1959), convertible in 1960, 1200 in 1961 with larger engine for better drivability, affordable and simple. Powered by 1,147 cc inline-four engine with 39 hp and 77 lb-ft torque, with 4-speed manual (synchro on top three) and RWD, offering modest performance (top speed 78 mph), focusing on efficiency and maintenance. Michelotti-designed with boxy lines, it included rack-and-pinion steering, independent front suspension, bolt-on panels, wind-up windows, cabin for four, foldable soft top, versatile for daily and leisure drives in 1960s. As a quintessential British economy convertible, the Herald 1200 combined reliability, low running costs, and cheerful character, appealing to budget-conscious buyers seeking an open-air experience without complexity.

I might be taking on the biggest project of my life… I found a huge lot of antique and vintage cars for sale, and I’m seriously considering buying the entire collection. Some of these cars are decades old, untouched, covered in dust, and begging for a second life. But before I make a decision, I want your advice.
Are these cars worth saving? Are they rare enough to justify the cost? Could this be the ultimate barn find score — or a massive money pit? In this video, I walk through the cars, show their condition, talk through what I know so far, and break down my concerns about the deal.
If you’ve restored classic cars, bought project cars, flipped old vehicles, or you just love vintage metal, I’d really appreciate your input. Let me know in the comments: Should I buy this entire lot of old cars… or walk away?
I’ll be reading all of your suggestions, warnings, ideas, and opinions. This community knows cars, and your experience could save me thousands — or push me into my biggest adventure yet.
If you enjoy old-school restorations, barn finds, hot rods, project car builds, or watching forgotten cars get a second chance, make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss what happens next. Whether I buy these or not… the journey is just getting started.
Thanks for watching — now tell me what YOU would do!
