Agua Sagrada is a powerful musical and intercultural project created during an internship at the NGO El Terreno. It embodies the philosophical and ecological value of water. In the Ecuadorian Andes, water is now a critical resource in the dry season, and thunder and floods destroy landscapes when the wet season arrives. This is not just a story from the small town of Atandahua in the high mountains of Ecuador; it is a story that needs to be told around the world, as climate change is now affecting thousands of communities worldwide. It is also a story of how water can be a source of connection and unity, reflecting the indigenous Andean cultural perception that helps us to truly understand and appreciate the deep spiritual value of water.
Video & Cut by Inti Manobanda.
Music produced and written by Tara Emilia Scholl.
