In this video I will show you how I install tannus armour onto fat bike tyres and wheels.

WHAT IS ARMOUR MADE FROM?

We engineered our own patented foam compound called "Aither". With over 13 years of experience in the foam industry, Aither is the best there is.

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE SIZE?

You simply go by the markings on your current tyre eg. 27.5 x 2.25

DO THEY AFFECT PERFORMANCE?

Not at all. In many cases the Armour will actually improve your performance. 

HOW DOES IT INCREASE PERFORMANCE?

You can run lower pressures which will give you more grip. The getter you grip to the surface, the easier it is to stay on course and hit those corners with more speed.

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

A long time! We say around 5000 miles as a benchmark but some of our riders have crossed multiple continents. 

DO I NEED A SMALLER TUBE?

Yes! Don't worry, when you select your tyre size, we will tell you which inner tube size you will need. It is always a size DOWN from normal. This is because the Armour takes up some of the room inside your tyre.

WHAT PRESSURE SHOULD I USE?

Some of our riders go as low as 14 PSI whilst still holding the tyre shape. As a rule of thumb, drop 5-10 psi and see how it feels. You can always adjust.

DO I NEED TO TRIM THE ARMOUR?

Certain sizes need to be trimmed so there is no excess material, but don't worry, it is clearly labeled on the box and in the description which sizes need trimming.

ARE THEY DIFFICULT TO INSTALL

No. They install just like a regular inner tube.
