What does stroke survivors hope to achieve? A speedy recovery and a return to normal life.
“Poor thing, mummy cannot look after you.” Stephanie, a stroke survivor recounted her experience after a stroke, with tears in her eyes. Like Stephanie, stroke survivors experience sadness and confusion.
We are here to help them. Through sports and games, gardening, speech programmes and mindfulness exercises, stroke survivors receive holistic care to maintain their physical fitness. They can also interact more with their community instead of leading sedentary lifestyles at home.
“I want to get well so I continue to come to S3,” Stephanie said. Indeed, we bring hope to stroke survivors and caregivers.
