In Madeinat, Gedaref State, a new school is giving girls the chance to learn safely and dream bigger. For Marwa, 13, the change has been life-altering.
“I used to be so scared when I walked to school. I used to miss many of my classes. This bothered me a lot, to the point where I almost dropped out.”
Now, with the new Almossat Primary School for Girls built with UNICEF and Government of Canada support, Marwa can study without fear.
“I feel very happy and satisfied with the new school. My dreams and ambitions grew! I hope to become an engineer to build more schools and help other pupils.”
When schools are close to communities, more girls stay in school — and more futures are protected.
