LRS Mack LE Wittke Superduty Carry Can Garbage Truck!

Here’s a truck I was more than happy to find, one of LRS’s “new” Wittke’s! To my knowledge this is the second Wittke they’ve gotten, the other being on an LEU which they got at the beginning of 2021. That one has rarely left the yard, so I didn’t expect them to buy another Wittke let alone actually run one. I’m really curious where this one is originally from, since this body is quite uncommon especially in the US. When LRS won the municipal contract for Schaumburg, they rented some Curotto’s from Premier and Big Truck Rental and they‘be had two carry cans running yard waste routes (more on the rentals later). As you can tell, this one hasn’t been on route very long and this very well could’ve been its first day on route, since it didn’t have any logos and everything was still nice and fresh. Yard waste was relatively light in this area, but I was just glad I was finally able to get a video of one of these Wittke’s. The engine sounded fantastic, and the arms cycled pretty quickly which all made this truck really cool in my opinion and there was even a little tipper action too. Hopefully you guys enjoy this one as much as I did!
