September and October is the driest period in the Park. This is regarded as the best game viewing time as the thin and short grass makes it excellent for seeing animals.

The Kruger National Park lies in a subtropical zone. Thus summer days are hot and humid and temperatures often reach the 40 degrees Celsius mark.

The Kruger Park receive summer rainfall. This mean full rivers and waterholes and the bushveld looking lush.
All of this make game viewing a bit more difficult in the summer season because the vegetation is dense.

The Kruger National Park is filled with newborns towards the end of November and early December. Spotting wildlife with their young is a memorable Kruger Park safari experience.
