Описание: Michael Bierut is today’s guest on “The Way I See It,” our radio collaboration with BBC. Bierut is a partner and designer at Pentagram where he works with clients such as The New York Times, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Mastercard. He published a monograph of his work, “How to use graphic design to sell things, explain things, make things look better, make people laugh, make people cry, and (every once in a while) change the world” in 2015 to great success. He joins us in front of a painting by Edward Ruscha and marvels at Ruscha’s ability to see the potential of a few letters—his ability to create “something that mimics the language of direct communication but in fact does something very oblique.”
