We flew from Yakima to Fort Lauderdale, then took a seaplane to Bimini — and from the moment we landed, this trip became about so much more than a beach getaway.

We’re usually not “resort people,” but we booked through the Resorts World Bimini website because they offered a package deal that included hotel + transportation (ferry or seaplane). It made planning simple — and turned out to be a great value.

During our 48 hours in Bimini, we:

✨ Explored the island by golf cart
✨ Learned about Ernest Hemingway’s legendary fishing days in Bimini
✨ Discovered Bimini’s deep roots in big game fishing
✨ Visited the breathtaking Dolphin House Museum, built entirely by hand by Sir Ashley Saunders (with tours shared by his sister Mia)
✨ Met local ambassador Aaron “Star,” who welcomed us like family

Bimini isn’t polished everywhere — and that’s island life. The salt air, sun, and storms shape everything here. But what stands out isn’t what’s weathered — it’s the community, history, and warmth of the people.

This isn’t just a resort vlog.
This is Bimini through local eyes.
