Easy Lexus ES300 330 350 Passenger Side Split CV Axle Swap!

Описание: This video will show you how to replace the right passenger side split axle shaft on the Lexus ES300, ES330 and the ES350. The inner grease boot had split and leaked out grease leading to bearing wear; hence, installing a new boot and repacking grease was not a viable long term solution. A new CV axle made by Cardone was selected as an axle replacement.
A 12 point 30 mm nut is used by Lexus to hold the axle to the wheel hub. To remove this nut, you'll need a 12 point socket in lieu of a 6 point. A 6 point cannot be substituted for a 12 point; it just won't fit.
The center bearing of the split axle is support to the engine block via a "bearing carrier". Rust tends to build up over time where the center bearing slides into the bearing carrier. Apply a generous amount of penetrating oil on the bearing carrier and give it around 24 hours to do its job. The center bearing should then be able to slide out without much resistance. If it stills stays frozen in the bearing carrier, you can use a long punch tool and hammer to push it out.
When pulling the axle out of the transmission some transmission fluid may leak out. Whatever amount that comes out can be replenished via the ATF dip stick tube.
