✔︎ story: draco always had a crush on hermione but he couldn't like her because he wasn't allowed to. nevertheless, he couldn't help but put little hints every time he teases the trio. hermione never really noticed it. in fact she hated him for bullying the trio all the time. as they got older, draco started to have independent thoughts, and he realized that all along, he was very wrong, and he still liked her. one day hermione suddenly put the pieces together and found out that draco actually liked her and a tiny bit of hermione had something for him. then draco's family found out about it and threatened to hurt her, he couldn't do it himself, so when bellatrix had hermione, draco ran to save her and the knife cut draco instead of hermione. bellatrix was terrified that the malfoy family would find out that she hurt their son and disappeared immediately so hermione was safe. after he was healed, hermione went to visit draco secretly, but then saw draco and narcissa leaving, as narcissa didn't want him and hermione to meet again. after a long while, draco escaped from his family to hermione, "run away with me", and so they went.
