The Cyber Crime Police Station and Phase-1 Noida Police Station busted a call center that defrauded unemployed youth in the name of providing jobs/placements in multinational companies and arrested the mastermind cyber criminal.
On December 8, 2025, the Cyber Crime Police Station and Phase-1 Noida Police, in a joint operation with the assistance of local intelligence and beat policing, busted a call center that defrauded unemployed youth in the name of providing jobs/placements in multinational companies. The mastermind cyber criminal, Vishal Kumar, son of Umesh Kumar, was arrested from Sector 2, Noida. One laptop, three checkbooks, three passbooks, 19 debit cards, 29 SIM cards, 30 mobile phones, and data related to 172 work calls were recovered from the accused's possession.
This gang used documents such as fake email IDs, call letters, and appointment bonds to extort money from people in the name of commission.
Brief Description of the Interrogation-
During interrogation, the accused revealed that they used to call unemployed youth through a call center and lure them with the promise of jobs in multinational companies, duping them of between 4,000 and 25,000 rupees in the name of registration. They created fake email IDs in the name of various companies and sent offer letters to people, forcing them to transfer money to various fake bank accounts in the name of placements. The accused used to conduct transactions with unemployed youth through more than 10 fake bank accounts, in which lakhs of rupees have been frozen.
