This 5-minute in-service video will demonstrate the proper method of weighing a bed-ridden patient using a USA-made DETECTO in-bed digital scale. The entire process from factoring the tare weight of the stretcher to lifting the patient with the hydraulic pump to removing the stretcher from beneath the patient and recording the weight is shown. The DETECTO model IB800 and IBFL500 in-bed scales are easy to operate and feature multiple functions that ease operation, such as pushbutton tare using the Zero key, convenient units switching between pounds and kilograms, and automatic hold of stable weight. DETECTO's EMR/EHR-ready in-bed scales are powered by 6 AA batteries so they are mobile for efficient transport from room to room for patient weighing.
