Original Chipko movement which happened in 1730AD where people gave their lives to Save trees in Rajasthan by Bishnoi community.
Modern Chipko movement took place in then Utter Pradesh ( Now in Uttarakhand) and it created impacts across Globe and helped in creating Forest Conservation Act in 1980.
