"Bring it here" vs. "Take it there" in Finnish | KatChats

Описание: So I got asked to do a video lesson on the Finnish way of saying "bring it here" and "take it over there" - so in this video I'll be going over just that!

All examples will be in puhekieli (which I have a video about already so go check it out if you don't know the term).

There are also varying levels of politeness since there is the basic "request" form, the "could you..." form and the "please" form ... if that makes any sense haha.

Here are the examples written out:

Bring it here:

Tuoda = To bring
Tuo se tänne - Bring it here (a command)
Toisitko sen tänne - Could you bring it here (request)
Toisitko sen tänne - Could you please bring it here (request with please)
Voisitko tuoda sen tänne - Could you please bring it here (same as above, but with a question word at the front)

Take it over there:

Viedä = To take
Vie se sinne - Take it there (command)
Vietsä sen sinne - Could you take it there (request)
Veisitkö sen sinne - Could you please take it there (request with please)
Voisitko viedä sen sinne - Could you please take it there (same as above, but with a question word at the front)

In the video I was going back and forth a bit confusingly with a few words that mean almost the same thing so just to type it out clearly here they are:

se/sen = it
tämä/tän = this
sinne = there
tuonne/tonne = is the same word just tonne is the shortened version - means over there (closer distance than sinne)
