In this video, I am painting fish and sea creatures with Amaco velvet underglazes. This is my first time using underglaze to do highly detailed artistic painting. In an upcoming video I hope to show you the finished product with zinc free clear glaze on top of the underglazes. 3 coats of underglaze or for a watercolor effect. A base coat of white underglaze and varied coats of underglaze.
I’m going to re-bisque fire this mug before putting on a clear coat. And firing again to cone five.
I used brushes made for nail polish decorating. They are very fine and durable.
