Dave Rothstein has an annual tradition. The resident of Florence, Massachusetts makes a sculpture from snow in his front yard.
Rothstein began making snow art more than two decades ago while living in Alaska. Since moving to Massachusetts more than a decade ago, he has continued the tradition, creating works to be viewed during the coldest weeks of the year.
This year's creation is called "Feline Groovy," a snow cat sculpture made from 3,000 pounds of snow. Previous works have included a snowy owl and an igloo speakeasy.
