Here are clear, simple descriptions of Exercise 8.2 – Question 3 and Question 4, along with hashtags 👇
🔹 Q-3 Description (Exercise 8.2)
In this question, ABCD is a rectangle and P, Q, R, and S are the mid-points of sides AB, BC, CD, and DA respectively.
When we join these mid-points, a new quadrilateral PQRS is formed.
Using the properties of a rectangle and the Mid-point Theorem, it can be shown that:
All sides of PQRS are equal
Opposite sides are parallel
Hence, PQRS is a rhombus.

🔹 Q-4 Description (Exercise 8.2)
In this question, ABCD is a trapezium where AB ∥ DC.
The diagonal BD is drawn and E is the mid-point of AD.
A line is drawn through E, parallel to AB, which intersects BC at F.
By applying the Mid-point Theorem and properties of parallel lines, we prove that:
F is the mid-point of BC
This confirms that a line drawn through the mid-point of one non-parallel side of a trapezium, parallel to the bases, bisects the other non-parallel side.
