Tour my front yard flower and vegetable garden in Austin Texas

Описание: Hi from Austin TX zone 9b! I decided to murder my lawn and put raised beds and flower rows in my front yard instead so I could grow tasty fresh food and pretty bouquets for my family and my friends and neighbors. I'm also planning to donate some of the surplus to a local food pantry called ATX Free Fridge, but I haven't grown enough to do that yet.

I have 6 raised beds with roughly 7 million tomato plants, a few eggplants, bush beans, peppers, and I used to have a few zucchini plants, but they've sadly perished. I also have a couple of melon varieties trellised along my side fence. For flowers, I grown zinnias in my front yard and cosmos/dahlias in my backyard where there's less sun. Zinnias and cosmos are SO easy to grow, and are "cut and come again" varieties, which makes them perfect for beginners, so if you want to grow flowers, too, I recommend starting with these.

I'm lucky to have no HOA in my neighborhood in South Austin, and my neighbors on both sides are supportive of the garden (it doesn't hurt that I share my harvest with them whenever possible lolol).
