Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
This is 100 years old historical church and it has become one of the famous pilgrimage spots for Christians.
And its Just 2.5 km from the Pondicherry Bus Station on the south boulevard of the town. This church was set up by the French missionaries in 1908. It is One of the most beautiful Catholic Churches of Pondicherry, the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus beautifully showcases the Gothic architecture. Occasions such as New Year, Christmas Eve, and Easter Day are celebrated at the church in a grand way.
A popular tourist attraction of Pondicherry is Botanical Garden and it was established by C.S. Perrotet in the year 1862. The garden is home to several exotic varieties of rare plants as well as an aquarium & & train rides.
It’s a quiet and calming retreat for you to relax and French architecture leads you to a world of greenery and peace.
The garden has around 1500 plant varieties, divided into 30 sections across the garden. Giant trees, fossil plants And exotic plant species are the highlights of the Pondicherry Botanical Garden.
Aquarium is an interesting place to visit and we can see some varities of aquatic organisms as well as fish flora.
