Hello, I am K.A. Bloch, poet and author of four award winning books. On my channel, I feature a weekly video poetry reading highlighting a poem from one of my four books, or even some new material.
I thought it would be interesting to see if people prefer the classics, or more modern day poetry, or perhaps something in between. However, this week's video is not a fun topic as it has to do with suicide. If you have been impacted by suicide and/or if it is sensitive subject for you, you may want to pass on this video and check out one of my other challenge videos.
In this video I am reading an short poem from 1918, a modern poem published in 2023, and in between that, some poetry set to music (aka song lyrics) from a classic rock song that came out in 1976. I'll give you a hint...we need more cowbell. There is some controversy about the meaning of these song lyrics, so you can draw your own conclusion.
