Описание: Made in Hollywood CA in the 50's by Engineers Syndicate LT. The Model SC 711 Scintillation detector is one of the coolest and strangest detectors I have. From its unique features like the pilot light in the handle and the fancy raised meter it stood out in a crowd. When it started whining like a scared cat crossed with a police siren I bet it really turned some heads. Of coarse you could always use headphones. It also has a port for an external probe, a unique sensitivity adjustment which used the little 1.5 V button cell battery as bias adjustment. The markings on the case are interesting too. Unfortunately someone must have carried it strapped over their shoulder scraping against a belt buckle. The original Harshaw Nal(TI) 1.5x1.5 crystal was still clear which is unusual as most of the old Scint. crystals have turned yellow. Only the very high end detectors used Harshaw crystals. Harshaw did a much better job of sealing the crystal cans. It ran on D cells and some 67.5 V batteries. For those I made use of my battery converters. The lable on the handle says "GISCO" Instrument Supply Co.Colorado USA. A rare unit indeed.
