Spending time doing makeup for my grandma has been the best decision I made during this holiday in China. In my memory, she devoted most of her life to caring for others in the family, rarely having any time for herself to do things she enjoys. Deep down, I know she's just like any other woman in the world; she wants to feel pretty, do makeup, and wear new clothes. However, during the years I spent with her, she never once applied makeup, either because she didn't have the time or couldn't afford it. So, when I returned to China this time, I wanted to do her makeup. I wanted to help her feel beautiful, no matter her age, and I wanted to see her happy. Here's to wishing all grandmas around the world a good and joyful life.
