If you can pinpoint vibration and reduce it, you'll improve its performance. Here I show how to measure vibration noise that causes cutting chatter with the use of a dial indicator. Can a dial indicator be used to fetter out vibration issues? Once you find that vibration, how do you calm it down? We'll do that too, then verify our experiment.
