What is “Sensory Integration”?
Everyday we receive different messages from the outside world through 7 senses – the sense of sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, vestibular (for balancing) and the sense of proprioception (for orientating one's limb in space).
Sensory Integration refers to how people process and react to the information provided by all the sensations coming from within the body and from the external environment.
In the lesson...
Our programme coordinators will design a set of strenuous “stations” to challenge the children depend on their needs and abilities.
Combining with equipments like the scooter board, which aims to emphasise the crawling/ prone position of the children in their developing stage, further adjust the tension of their extraocular muscles to an optimum reaction level, hence improve the concentration of the children.
The lesson mainly focus on developing children's balancing skill, hand-eye coordination and the muscle control of their bodies.
