Hiking to Kachaghakaberd / Արշավ դեպի Կաչաղակաբերդ - Armenian Geographic

Описание: On the road that connects Stepanakert to Gandzasar you will notice a clif, rising up in the middle of the forests, that can't be confused with any other summit - it is Kachaghakaberd. It has also been famous as a Khacheni fortress.
From the distance the territory of the fortress seem smaller then it really is. Though you can't see the fortress standing there, but from the remenants of the walls of fence you can imagine how majestic it has been.

Ստեփանակերտից Գանձասար տանող ճանապարհով անցնելիս անհնար է չնկատել անտառներից վեր խոյացող ժայռի կտորը, որը երբեք չես խառնի մեկ այլ գագաթի հետ, դա Կաչաղակաբերդն է: Այն հայտնի է եղել նաև Խաչենի ամրոց անունով:
Հեռվից նայելիս բերդի ընդգրկած տարածքը ավելի փոքր է թվում քան կա իրականում: Բերդը որպես այդպիսին չի պահպանել իր տեսքը, բայց տեղ-տեղ պահպանված պարսպի կտորներին նայելով կարող եք պատկերացում կազմել երբեմնի հզոր շինության մասին:
