I Came For You - Planetshakers || Worship Drumming Tutorial (+sheet music)

Описание: Learning to play drums for church? Here's part two of the worship drum analysis of Planetshakers - I Came For You! I'll be drumming to the track, accompanied by sheet music as well as brief descriptions of what's going on in each section.

While I'm a firm believer in the benefits of reading notation for purposes of learning and communication, it's also essential to understand what's happening in the track conceptually to execute it meaningfully - sort of reverse-engineering the original player's thought process.

Over my years of drum teaching I've met both "play by feel" students struggling to increase their vocabulary, and "play by note" students struggling to play with conviction. This is my attempt at bridging that gap! Let me know in the comments if it helped in any way, would love to hear from you.

Disclaimer: the notation provided is not absolutely 100% a replica of the track, or even what I'm playing, because that's not the point of church drumming! It is close enough to mimic the original feel and parts while remaining relatively clear to read, but please add your own touch when playing it!
