Today, Sol Ramos and her friends hike the Volcán de Fuego to chase the sunset 🌋
This is Sol’s seventh time climbing Fuego, hiking for hours through rest stops, clouds, and rocky terrain to reach the campsites just in time for golden hour.
It’s a midweek climb with hikers from all over the world camping on the volcano. The weather shifts constantly, but the goal stays the same: make it to the top and hope the clouds clear for an unforgettable sunset.
Whether the sky opens up or not, the journey is worth it.

Esta es la séptima vez que Sol hace esta caminata, avanzando durante horas entre descansos, nubes y terreno volcánico hasta llegar a los campamentos.
Es una subida entre semana, con excursionistas de todo el mundo acampando en el volcán. El clima cambia constantemente, pero el objetivo es claro: llegar y esperar que el cielo se despeje para un atardecer inolvidable.
Se despeje o no, el camino vale la pena.
