The Amtrak Borealis route is one of the newest train routes in the U.S. I took it in June 2024 and was so excited. I am from Milwaukee and one of my hopes for future train travel is that we can get around the Midwest easier. While not a perfect route or experience, this gets us one step closer. So let’s take the Amtrak Borealis from Milwaukee to St. Paul for a solo weekend in Minneapolis!
