A must visit medieval town in the Bavarian region of Germany is Rothenburg ob der Tauber. If in Munich, a day trip is a must and there are options to stay in this beautiful town too. One can commute by train , rented car or through arranged guided tour as preferred by us. The fortified town can be easily explored by walking. If travelling by road one has to take the famous romantic road of Germany which is 350 km picturesque road through forest and mountains and small towns. By train - take train from Munich hbf to Nurnberg or Ansbach ( towards Wurzburg hbf ). Then from Ansbach to Steinach to Rothenburg ob der Tauber Central Station.
