This Splashback Was Harder Than It Looks

Описание: This green mosaic splashback turned out to be a lot harder than I expected.

In this video I share some of the layout and cutting decisions that make small mosaic tiles much harder than they look.

Before I even started installing it, the tiles arrived broken… four separate times. Once I finally had a full batch that wasn’t smashed, I realised how unforgiving these actually were.

I had to make a difficult decision with the setting out. No trim on the exposed edges. Awkward cuts. And black grout over a quartz worktop, which always keeps you on edge.

To make things more interesting, I had to leave the job about 3 hours into the first day because of a family emergency. Thankfully it turned out to be a false alarm, but it definitely broke the flow.
