This video shows you how to convert your backpack lid into a daypack.
Packs that come with the day pack lid feature give you the option to take the yoke out of the pack bag and install it into the lid to create a load-bearing day pack. Similar to adjusting the yoke, remove the cape and take the adjuster out. Slide the adjuster to break the
velcro seal on the body panel and pull the yoke out.
To remove the lid release the side release buckles on the front, two on the back, as well as a single g hook at the top of the body panel. Underneath the lid is a sleeve similar to the body panel of the pack pull the fabric and webbing out, insert the adjuster into the sleeve to separate the velcro, and install the yoke above the adjuster.
Remove the adjuster to reseat the velcro and install back into the cape of the yoke. Attach the side release buckles from the shoulder pad to the top of the lid and thread the angle cut webbing from the bottom of the lid under the shoulder pad. The day pack lid is a great feature that's hydration compatible and load-bearing for days away from camp or summit pushes.
