________________________________________________
The law defines "super speeding" as:
• Driving 50+ MPH over the posted limit, or
• Driving over 100 MPH, regardless of the limit
Penalties include:
• Up to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine (1st offense)
• Up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 fine for repeat offenders
• Mandatory court appearance
• Possible license suspension up to 1 year
This law treats extreme speeding as a criminal offense, not just a civil infraction, regardless of whether a crash occurs.
