A failed coup in Oman sparkes a wave of violence which rapidly spills over into the neighbouring UAE. Taking advantage of poor border security, Rebel forces begin attacking oilfields and shipping hubs along the country's eastern coastline.
Eager to gain a stronger political foothold in the gulf, Russia responds to the UAE's request for military aid. Dispatching a mixed air group and a limited ground contingent. On May 30th the first Su-25s arrive at Fujairah Airport, combat operations are scheduled to commence the following day.
