Horsethief Reservoir is nestled in a heavily wooded area just outside of Cascade Idaho. There are several campgrounds with campsites, but the sites are small and close together. When we went it was very crowded. If your looking for solitude this probably isn't the place for you. There are numerous campsites, all with a centrally located vault toilet. The sites were a bit expensive at $15 a night with very few amenities. Overall, it's a beautiful lake and is great place to paddle board and do some fishing.
