Jason Barker is a long-time patient at Lexington Podiatry. A number of years ago he had a traumatic accident that caused him to lose most of his fingers on one hand. Eventually, he had 2 of his toes amputated and reattached to the hand that had been affected. This procedure increased his range of motion and usage ability in his hand, but also left him with the task of adjusting to a toe amputation.
Jason asked us to share his story to reassure our patients that living with a toe amputation is manageable and enjoyable.
