India, Australia sign agreements on economy, defence and cultural ties

Описание: Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said that "significant" and "ambitious" progress has been made in defence ties with fellow QUAD member, India. He was speaking after wrapping up a visit to India, which focused on aligning the countries' shared security, economic and cultural commitments. Mr Albanese and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks in New Delhi. Mr Modi said security cooperation with Australia is an important pillar in the two nations' Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Mr Albanese earlier called India a top-tier security partner, saying he agrees with Mr Modi on the need to strengthen defence ties.
