Billions in revenues escapes countries every year through illicit financial flows and tax havens.
3.4 billion people live in countries where governments spend more on debt servicing than on education, health, or social security.

🎥 A new coalition campaign makes it clear: We break down how unsustainable debt and unjust tax systems are the key obstacles to universal social protection. We highlight why the upcoming #UNTaxConvention is essential to stop the race to the bottom on corporate tax and ensure wealthy elites contribute to the social contract.

Social protection isn't charity—it's a human right. Countries in the Global South cannot finance these rights if their resources are drained by debt repayments to private creditors and tax avoidance by transnational corporations.

We need a new global financial and tax architecture that works for everyone, especially a fair international tax system through a #UNTaxConvention that will contribute to finance universal social protection.
